Project:
University of Auckland Recreation and Wellness Center
Description:
This 20,000 square meter project is stacked vertically on a small site, maximizing use of the footprint with a large diversity of recreational and wellness programs. Heavily documented with over 900 sheets of construction drawings and details, BIM was critical on this project and each trade used Revizto software to build an accurate 3D model of their as-built contribution to the project. This level of coordination was essential given that a lot of material comes from overseas by boat. To reduce risk of delays, material was ordered far in advance and from drawings, rather than being site measured and then manufactured.
Responsibilities:
CA office admin for the interior scope including the review of submittals from most construction divisions over the course of 1.5 years. Represented MJMA at weekly meetings with project and site management teams. Led detailed coordination meetings with engineering consultants and construction trades. Leveraged Revizto clash detection software to coordinate models by every trade.
