About
Justin Bouttell is a licensed Architect and holds a Master’s in Architecture from McGill University. He is passionate about engaging with clients, communities and experts to design outstanding buildings that are also socially and environmentally considerate.
His diverse and international portfolio of work has encouraged throughout his career a passion for thoughtful contextualism not limited to any one particular style. Originally from Montreal, he worked in Beijing and Berlin for internationally acclaimed offices, and is now based in Toronto.

Paul Raff Studio, Toronto, CA
Architect
Hired as an independent contractor for the design and detailing of high-end residential projects in Toronto, including the bespoke renovation of a penthouse condo unit and a new-build single-family detached home.
MJMA Architecture and Design, Toronto, CA
Architect
Oversaw and coordinated construction of the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre and University of Auckland Recreation and Wellness Center.
Designed and conceptualized the Princeton University Dillon Gym Expansion – a historic building renovation and new mass timber addition.
GRAFT Architects, Berlin, DE
Architectural Designer
Led the 3D design for a variety of project schemes in Europe, including a landmark hotel and casino project within a larger GRAFT designed masterplan set to radically transform a central area of Tbilisi, Georgia into a pedestrianized public space.
Buro Ole Scheeren, Beijing, CN
Architectural Designer
Developed the schematic design for a 117,000 square meter mixed-use (residential high-rise, hotel and retail) masterplan in Shenzhen, China.
Steven Holl Architects, Beijing, CN
Architectural Designer
Led design studies for a ceremonial building near Taipei, Taiwan and a mixed-use masterplan in Hang Zhou, China, presenting concepts and planning decisions to the firm’s director and partners.
