Project:
Blütenviertel Affordable Housing
Responsibilities:
Facade design, floor plan studies
I led the façade design of an affordable housing development in Potsdam lake district, outside Berlin. While designing the façade, I worked to integrate three concepts:
(1) Maximizing integration of greenery in order to create visual interest and blend into Potsdam’s lush landscape.
(2) Create a three dimensional and porous facade that would give life to an otherwise dull housing block.
(3) Reveal each apartment or rowhouse as a unique sculptural piece fitting into the totality of the masterplan.
